Orit Brenholtz-Oren

Orit provides CBT, Mindfulness based CBT and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to children, adolescents and adults with complex issues and life challenges. As an experienced psychotherapist, Orit is adept at helping those struggling with life transitions, who have a history of trauma and illnesses.

Over the years working as a psychotherapist, she has helped people to overcome an enormous array of life’s difficulties including bereavement, traumatic experiences, domestic crisis, physical disabilities and emotional challenges to name but a few. With expert experience dealing with anxiety, she can treat specific disorders such as phobia, panic, social anxiety, separation anxiety, OCD and generalised anxiety.

Qualifications

Orit is registered with the European Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Therapies (EABCT).

BACP registered.

She has undertaken training in Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy.

She also has a M.S in Clinical Social Work from Bar-Ilan University, Israel and a B.A. Social Work, Tel Aviv University (Hons.), Israel.

Experience

Over the last 15 years Orit has worked in a variety of professional settings for a number of organisations including an adolescent emergency shelter for teenage girls and in an anxiety and psychosomatic unit in the public sector. As a psychotherapist, she provided long term integrative counselling for young people with great potential and little family backing, helping them to realise and inherit their potential and become active and influential members of society. The last 7 years have seen Orit work as CBT and integrative therapist providing short term therapy in a private practice for adolescents and adults.
