Loss & Bereavement

The effects of loss and bereavement can impact individuals, families, and even entire communities. And whilst there are distinct differences between the experiences, their impacts are known to be similar, leaving one to feel lost, anxious, overwhelmed, or depressed. It is good to bear in mind that whilst these experiences are part of life, it is always important to seek help when you are struggling. As a result, Bridges Therapy Centre are able to provide therapy and counselling from our Hendon, Canary Wharf, Harley Street, Muswell Hill and Cambridge clinics, or online.

As mentioned, although the conditions are extremely similar, there are distinct differences between loss and bereavement. Loss is an often more frequent experience and is associated with the feeling of grief. Grief and loss can encompass the feelings when you lose anything in life, from a pet to a relationship, to your home. Bereavement occurs when someone close to us or a loved one dies. Both can be extremely debilitating and require the right level of support, often in the form of therapy.
