Dr Carolina Schneider is one of our highly skilled child and adolescent psychiatrists at Bridges Therapy Centre, with over 25 years of experience in providing exceptional clinical care to patients and families.
Dr Schneider has a strong formation in child and adolescent psychiatry and psychopharmacology, previously obtaining a PhD from King’s College London. Her time as a specialist has included her work as a consultant and clinical lead within CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services) both NHS and private sector, and most recently as the medical director for the CAMHS at Elysium Healthcare.
Experience
Throughout her time working in the UK, Israel and in Argentina, Dr Schneider has worked in both direct care-provider and leadership positions. She has a strong foundation in child and adolescent psychiatry and psychopharmacology, and has also carried out a number of clinical, pharmacological and epidemiological studies and research. Her work within CAMHS has seen her help children with a range of complex mental health difficulties.
Specialisms
As part of Dr Schneider has broad experience in working with young people suffering from complex trauma, psychotic and affective disorders, and eating disorders – particularly those from within high risk populations. She is dedicated to empowering young people to live a safe and independent life and reach their individual potential, whilst also ensuring that families and friends take an active part in the recovery process.
