Or Yaniv Blecher

Or Yaniv Blecher is one of our dedicated psychotherapists at Bridges Therapy Centre, offering psychological therapy for adults experiencing a wide range of emotional and mental health difficulties. She works with individuals struggling with mood and anxiety disorders, early developmental trauma, relational challenges, and cross-cultural adjustment issues.

Or’s therapeutic approach is primarily psychodynamic, exploring how past experiences shape present behaviour and emotional patterns. She also draws upon Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), either exclusively or as an integrated component of the work, depending on the client’s needs and preferences.

She offers a calm, reflective space where clients can explore their inner world, make sense of emotional challenges, and gain clarity and agency in their lives. Or is passionate about supporting clients through meaningful change and helping them feel more empowered, resilient, and connected.

Qualifications & Training

Or is currently in the final stages of her training as an Attachment-Based Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist at the Bowlby Centre in London. Her academic background and clinical training span both the UK and Israel, and include:

  • MA in Clinical Psychology (Tel-Aviv Yaffo Academic College, Israel, 2018)
  • BA in Psychology and Philosophy (Tel-Aviv University, Israel, 2014)

Or is a member of the British Psychological Society (MBPsS) and also holds professional registration as a psychologist with the Israeli Ministry of Health.

Experience & Background

Or is currently based as a psychotherapist in West Hampstead, where she supports adults dealing with a variety of psychological concerns.

In Israel, she trained and worked as a clinical psychologist in a range of settings, including the psychological services of the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and the psychiatric outpatient clinic at Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv. These roles provided her with extensive experience in both short-term and long-term therapy, as well as multidisciplinary team collaboration in hospital-based and academic environments.

Specialisms

Or works with adults facing difficulties related to anxiety, depression, low mood, trauma, relationship issues, and emotional regulation. She is particularly experienced in supporting individuals with early developmental trauma and those adjusting to life in a new culture.

Her flexible and person-centred approach allows her to tailor therapy to each individual, combining deep psychodynamic exploration with practical tools from CBT when helpful.

Therapist in West Hampstead

Or was drawn to the field of psychotherapy through her interest in people and her belief in the power of taking time to pause, reflect, and connect in our increasingly fast-paced world.

She sees therapy as a shared space that allows for deep, transformative work, and an opportunity to gain insight, process emotional pain, and cultivate a stronger sense of agency and freedom in life.

Or is committed to working with people from all walks of life in a compassionate, thoughtful, and meaningful way. She offers therapy in West Hampstead from her clinic at 224 Iverson Road, London, NW6 2HL.
